The European Southern Observatory (ESO) has just released a stunning image of a mirror world of the galaxy containing Earth, the Milky Way..
According to the sheet Space, It is The galaxy is called NGC 4254also known as Messier99, discovered in 1781 by the French astronomer Pierre Méchain. However, it was not until the development of modern astronomical observation tools that the truth about this mysterious world located next to the constellation Leo was revealed.

Latest images from EЅO, via PHANGS survey project, shows Messier 99 as a plume of hair shining in the sky. Especially, “This giant spiral galaxy shares many characteristics with the galaxy containing Earth, the Milky Way. with long, wide and clearly defined spiral arms“, according to NASA.
In the latest ESO image, the “arm” of Messier 99, resplendent with red and orange light, are clouds of cold gas preparing to transform into stars.
Purple and blue tones sparkle around the “arms” of stars distributed throughout the galaxies.
The image released by ESO is actually a combined dataset of both Very Large Telescope (VLT) and ALMA systemsboth originating from ESO and located in the wilds of Chile, where they have a clear view of the starry sky.
According to scientists, Messier 99 is an interesting research object because it may provide more clues about how stars form in the universe. The VLT and ALMA continue to collect data on this subject.
Because Messier 99 is 55 million light years away from us, the image just recorded is not an image of reality, but an image “timeless” 55 million years ago.
NASA also studies this galaxy using the Hubble Space Telescope.
