The Moon will be on the opposite side of Earth from the Sun and its side will be completely illuminated. This phase occurs at 15:19. Ancient Native American tribes called this full moon Full Snow Moon (Full Snow Moon) because this time of year the heaviest snowfall. This full moon is also known as the Full moon of hunger (full moon of hunger), because that’s when bad weather makes hunting difficult.
