China just broke its record for the number of satellites launched by a single rocket with a launch at 12:30 p.m. on June 15 (Hanoi time)..

The Long March 2D rocket lifted off from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in northern China on June 15, putting 41 satellites into orbit. (Video: ϹTPS).

As Long March 2D climbed, insulation could be seen falling from the rocket and a diamond shock wave (the formation of standing wave trails in the supersonic exhaust of an aerospace propulsion system ) appeared in the purple exhaust.

A total of 41 small satellites put into orbit, including 30 Satellite Jilin-1 GF06A08 Satellite Jilin-1 GF03DA HEGS-1 satellite. and ask Satellite Jilin-1 PT02A for the Chinese commercial remote sensing satellite company Changguang Satellite (CGST).

A total of 41 small satellites have been put into orbit.

The launch broke China’s former record for the number of satellites in a single launch of 26, set by commercial company CS Space’s Lijian 1 rocket a few days earlier. This number is still far from the world record of 143 satellites, set by SpaceX’s Transporter-1 mission in January 2021.

The satellites launched on June 15 primarily complement CGST’s commercial Jilin-1 remote sensing system. The CGST aims to put more than 300 satellites into orbit by 2025, more than double the previous plan of 138 Jilin-1 satellites.

The Long March 2D rocket is 41m high and can carry 1,300kg of cargo into a 700km high solar synchronous orbit. The June 15 mission was the 25th launch with the Jilin-1 satellite cargo. This is the 24th launch in China since the start of the year and the country plans to launch more than 200 vehicles in 2023.
