Airbus currently operates two spacecraft that take photos of Earth Pleiades Neo, they can take high-resolution images and capture objects as small as 30 cm from low Earth orbit. It is widely used in fields such as site design, resource management, construction and environmental monitoring.

SpaceX constructions giant Starship rocket at the beginning of the week, reserved Ship 24 spaceships on the first floor named Booster 7 at the Starbase facility near the town of Brownsville in South Texas. In total, the Ship 24 – Booster 7 duo measures approximately 120 meters tall, larger than the Saturn V moon rocket and NASA’s new Space Launch System (SLS) used in the Artemis 1 mission. large enough to be seen from orbit using high-resolution satellites. Europe’s Airbus on January 12 shared photos of the Starship system taken with the company’s Pléiades Neo satellite.
Airbus currently operates two Pléiades Neo Earth imaging satellites. In December 2022, the Company placed two more Pléiades Neo satellites into orbit but were lost due to the launch of Arianespace’s Vega C rocket.
SpaceX also shared photos of Starship taken closer to the ground on January 12. Photos reveal stainless steel vehicle and launch tower “Mechazilla” giant rising through the low clouds of Starbase. SpaceX prepares Ship 24 and Booster 7 for orbital launch testing. This important test could start as early as the end of February this year, according to SpaceX founder and CEO Elon Musk.
However, the Starship will be dismantled before launch. SpaceX wants to conduct a static fire test of all 33 engines with Booster 7, and this test will take place without Ship 24. During a static fire test, the engines will run for short periods while the vehicle is anchored to the ground.
Like Booster 7, Ship 24 also runs on SpaceX’s next-generation Raptor engine. Ship 24 fired all 6 Raptor engines during a static fire test in September 2022. Previous Booster 7 static fire tests have never included more than 14 engines.
The orbital launch test will mark Starship’s first liftoff in nearly 2 years. The most recent Starship launch included the SN15 upper stage prototype equipped with 3 engines, flying at a height of 10 km over Texas in May 2021 and successfully landing on the ground.
