The Indian spacecraft carrying three astronauts is expected to launch into a 400 km high orbit for about three days and then return to Earth.
India’s Minister of Science and Technology announced that India’s first crewed space flight is expected to take place in the fourth quarter of 2024, Interesting engineering reported on December 28. The mission aims to demonstrate human spaceflight capabilities by placing a three-person crew in a 400 km-high orbit for three days, according to the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).

Spaceflight has a crew called “Mission H1”, Launch plan thank you LVM3 missile of ISRO. The rocket was adapted to meet human needs and is now named LVM3 evaluated by humans. It includes a Crew Escape System (CES), powered by high-combustion solid-state engines, which can bring the crew to safety if an emergency arises during launch or flight.
The spacecraft includes a crew module (CM) and an equipment module (SM) similar to the Orion spacecraft of NASA’s Artemis I Moon mission. CM is a habitable space, consisting of an internal pressurized metal structure and an external non-pressurized structure with a thermal protection system (TPS) to help the crew return safely to Earth. The CM will also contain life support, avionics and deceleration systems, while the SM will include power systems, propulsion systems, avionics and deployment mechanisms.
Because astronaut safety comes first, experts plan to conduct two vehicle test missions before the first half of the year to test the capabilities of the crew escape system and parachute deceleration system under different conditions flight.
Two unmanned test missions, named G1 and G2, are expected to take place in the fourth quarter of 2023 and the second quarter of 2024. Meanwhile, the H1 mission will take place in the fourth quarter of 2024. The crew consists of three people. selected in the Indian Air Force and takes part in a special training course in the city of Bangalore.
