James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) NASA has discovered a very large black hole operating at the furthest distance from Earth.
According to the announcement released on July 6, ASA said the black hole is located in the center galaxy CEERS 1019which formed more than 570 million years ago after the Big Bang.
This active supermassive black hole is not only unusual in age and distance from Earth, but also in weight, only 9 million times the weight of the Sun.
This difference is very small compared to normal, when most supermassive black holes in the early universe had over a billion times the mass of the Sun, making them brighter and easier to detect.
JWST also discovered 11 galaxies that formed when the universe was between 470 and 675 million years old.
ASA said, The black hole in the galaxy CEERS 1019 looks more like the black hole at the center of the Milky Way, which is 4.6 million times more massive than the Sun. This black hole is also not as bright as other large black holes previously discovered.
According to NASA, despite its small size, this black hole appeared much earlier, so how this black hole could have existed even after the universe was formed remains a mystery.
