NASA just released breathtaking photos of what it calls the Pillars of Creation, where new worlds are born – literally..
The photos were taken by the James Webb Space Telescope, operated by NASA, with support from ESA and CSA (European and Canadian space agencies).
In the photo, a giant, ghostly nebula appears like a divine hand reaching straight toward the sky, its fingers as big and strong as pillars. It is Eagle Nebulaa large star-forming region located in the constellation Serpent.

“I have been studying the Eagle Nebula since the mid-1990s, trying to see ‘inside’ the light-year-long pillars revealed by Hubble, looking for young stars within them. I always knew that when James Webb takes a photo, it will be incredible.” – The BBC quoted Professor Mark McCaughrean, principal scientific adviser at the ESA.
According to NASA, the most striking feature in James Webb’s Near Infrared Camera (NIRCam) images is New stars are formingstill in the “prestellar” stage, bright red with radioactive tips, is located outside one of the pillars made of gas and dust.

When these bright red spheres have enough mass inside the columns of gas and dust, they begin to collapse under their own gravity, slowly heating up and becoming true newborn stars. These new worlds, as they grow, will gradually form planets orbiting them, where aliens are likely to be born and rule for billions of years.
The lava-like ridges on the edges of some pillars are powerful ejections of energy and matter from young stars, which periodically shoot supersonic jets, colliding with star clusters. Clouds of matter surround and create an astonishing scene. These young stars are only a few hundred thousand years old.
Observe new worlds “the little ones” This birth provides scientists with excellent data that allows them to learn how stars and planets form, thus partly deciphering the eternal secrets of our presence in the universe.
