NASA astronaut Josh Cassada recently took a photo of a spectacular light show called aurora on Earth. Space cameras on the International Space Station (ISS), which flies about 400 km above Earth, recorded this image.
“It’s incredible”, Astronaut Cassada wrote the caption for a photo of the aurora, posted to his personal Twitter page on February 28.
Josh Cassada arrived at the ISS in October 2022, along with three other crew members from SpaceX’s Crew-5 mission. He is accompanied by NASA astronaut Nicole Mann, Japanese astronaut Koichi Wakata and Russian astronaut Anna Kikina.
Crew-5 is the name for NASA’s 5th flight to the ISS carried out on a flying vehicle provided by the company SpaxeX, after the two sides began cooperation in May 2020. The crew’s scientific research mission Crew-5 will last 150 days.
The quartet will be able to view Earth from above in about a week. The Crew-5 mission will return to Earth approximately five days after the Crew-6 mission arrives at the orbiting laboratory. Crew 6 is scheduled to take off early in the morning of March 2 from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Dawn is one of the interesting astronomical phenomena that many people look forward to every year. It is a phenomenon formed by magnetic radiation, creating colored streaks of light in the sky.
Auroras that occur in the northern hemisphere are called Aurora borealis, usually occurs from late August to mid-April. In the southern hemisphere this phenomenon is called Northern Lights.
“The Northern Lights are one of many natural phenomena on Earth carefully observed from the International Space Station,” The US space agency, NASA, said.
Theo Space. com, the aurora is one of the most popular and actively searched for amazing natural phenomena by Internet users. Currently, Mr. Cassada’s post has received 3.4 million views as well as more than 30,000 comments on Twitter.
