Japanese research results have provided an explanation for one of the most mysterious and frightening structures ever created: a pair of giant Fermi bubbles blown from the center of the galaxy containing Earth.
First discovered by Fermi Gamma Ray Space Telescope In 2010, this pair of Fermi bubbles became a great mystery to astronomers for more than a decade because it was the first time such a structure had been observed.
Huge and scary, pair of Fermi bubbles symmetrical to each other across the galactic plane, as if blowing from both sides of the galactic center, where the monster black hole Sagittarius A* resides.

The research team led by Professor Yutaka Fujita of Tokyo Metropolitan University presented new evidence based on a model he and his colleagues recreated for the galaxy containing Earth, the Milky Way.
According to Daily SciTechScientists discovered a pair of phenomena called “forward shock” and “reverse shock,” in which the reverse shock is what caused the pair of ghostly bubbles to explode.
More precisely, it all comes from the winds blowing very quickly from the monster black hole Sagittarius A*. Galactic winds are unlike the cool breezes of Earth, but are a source of stormy energy that erupts into the surrounding world, at a speed of 1,000 km/second.
These winds carrying streams of charged particles “bombard” the surrounding space, causing a shock in the gas halo surrounding the galaxy. This fast, strong and intense collision created a reverse shock, leading to a special environment with strong temperature and energy differences. And this is the shell of the Fermi bubble.
Simulations show that this process also occurs in other galaxies, but our telescopes are not yet able to “see” them.
The research has just been published in a scientific journal Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society.
