Venus is classified as a terrestrial planet and is sometimes considered a “sister planet” of Earth due to its size, gravitational acceleration and orbital parameters similar to those of Earth.

Venus completes one orbital period approximately every 224.65 Earth days. While one day on Venus is equivalent to 243 days on Earth (this shows the duration of one rotation of Venus).
The Vietnamese previously called it the evening star and the morning star because this celestial body appeared in the sky both day and night. Venus is the third brightest celestial body in our sky after the Sun and the Moon.
