What would happen if all the water on Earth was dumped on the Sun?

Using all the water on Earth to pour onto the Sun could cause an unexpected catastrophe. What is this?

Since ancient times, people have debated how space works. But none of us ever doubted the existence of the Sun.

In fact, according to scientists, Sun just an ordinary star. This star is composed of 73% hydrogen, 25% helium and small amounts of heavy elements. However, in about 5 billion years, the Sun’s life cycle will end and the amount of hydrogen inside it will also be depleted. The sun will begin to transition to a helium burning phase in its core. Meanwhile, in the outermost shell of the Sun will continue to take place the reaction of combining two hydrogen atoms into helium.

When it becomes a red giant star, the Sun’s outer shell will expand to Mars’ orbit and engulf Mercury and Venus. Meanwhile, Mars, although not swallowed up by the Sun, has also escaped the influence of the solar atmosphere. As for the Earth, Even if our blue planet is not engulfed, the temperature will become too high, leading to the destruction of life.

Once the helium runs out, the Sun will become a white dwarf with a hot, heavy core and surrounded by a cluster of planetary nebulae. Eventually, this white dwarf will cool, fade, and one day become a black dwarf. However, even in theory, this process would take a long time.

So if you pour all the water on Earth onto the Sun, can that star die out?

According to scientists, the answer is that we cannot extinguish the Sun in this way. Because the Sun is not a fire that burns with oxygen like on Earth. Instead, in oxygen-free space, the Sun exists through a fusion reaction that turns hydrogen into helium.

Therefore, if we pour water on the Sun, we add fuel to that star. Instead of turning off It only makes the Sun much bigger, hotter and brighter. The steps really are fuel for the sun. Pouring water on the Sun is like trying to put out a fire with gasoline. What is worrying is The extra mass created by water will make the Sun heavier. It’s really a bad idea.

If we keep adding water, sooner or later the Sun will collapse on its own, bringing unpredictable disasters to other planets and especially life on Earth.

On the other hand, if we used all the water on Earth to turn off the Sun, what would our green planet look like? Clearly, water is extremely important for life on Earth. However, due to the use of all the water to pour onto the Sun, fish and other sea creatures will fall in disaster.

In particular, creatures living in the deep sea cannot withstand sudden changes in pressure. The earth at that time with everything around it was just earth. Because there is no ocean, our blue planet will have no clouds or rain.

The oceans on Earth have an important role in absorbing a huge amount of CO2 and the heat emitted by the Sun. The ocean also distributes heat over the Earth and makes life more bearable. Therefore, once the oceans are gone, the temperature will quickly rise to over 120 degrees Celsius and everything around will become terribly hot. This causes forest fires everywhere.

Without water, the Earth would be lifeless.. Everywhere, the forest fires make that the houses of the animals no longer exist. Everything becomes dry and there will be no place left to live on earth. Right now, the Earth is like a giant desert.
